The WRS five-gate purchase framework
Our sourcing work is organized around five buyer decision gates: brief approval, supplier approval, sample approval, production and inspection review, and shipment release. Each gate creates a clear record of what has been decided and what evidence supports the next step.
- Brief gate: product, quantity, packaging, market and timing are defined.
- Supplier gate: capability, quotation and commercial fit are compared.
- Sample gate: the physical result and specification are approved.
- Quality gate: production status and inspection evidence are reviewed.
- Release gate: cargo, documents and shipping route are confirmed.
